美国梦工厂动画公司将与中国合拍《功夫熊猫3》，并将在上海建立梦工厂主题乐园，以迎合日益扩大的中国电影消费市场。

　　梦工厂表示，与中国合拍的《功夫熊猫3》预计于2016年上映，并将与华人文化产业投资基金(简称CMC)、上海传媒集团、上海联和投资有限公司密切合作，共同组建一家位于上海的制作公司。即将成立的东方梦工厂集团将在未来雇用2000余名电影产业内专业人员，并以每年发行制作1到3部电影的速度大跨步前进。本项目还涉及到在上海徐汇区建立梦工厂主题乐园，将有超过200亿元人民币的资金投入到这项工程中。该电影乐园将包括电影院、大剧院、高级餐厅和各种游玩设施并于2016年竣工开业。
