9月16日下午，中国本溪首届财神文化论坛在本溪市成功举办，论坛邀请到了美国纽约州立大学社会学博士、北京中关村文化产业联盟首席文化顾问徐迅，中国文化书院院长、北京大学教授王守常，中国人民大学孔子研究院客座研究员杨汝清，中国社会科学院宗教研究所研究员戈国龙，长江学者、上海交通大学博导崔大祥，西湖学者、浙江工商大学教授吴炫，北京十翼书院院长米鸿宾，《中国画画刊》主编陈青洋，沈阳大学文法学院院长李刚、佛教史专家朱岩、中国美院教授曹工化、独立学者金纲等近50名专家学者，围绕财神文化的历史、分布、作用及其与政治、经济、旅游、绘画创作的关系等10余个课题进行深入研讨，商榷交流。举办财神文化论坛，旨在进一步挖掘、弘扬财神文化，扩大财神文化的影响力，提升财神寺景区的知名度，搭建辽砚文化产业发展的有效平台，为实现我区提出的特色辽砚文化产业与区域品牌旅游融通发展的目标，提供平台，拓展空间。
