对此，郧西县文体局局长钟建华称，该雕塑灯名为“性的写意”，是郧西七夕节期间，举办的首届祈福灯展的一处。这些雕塑灯表达了玫瑰之约、浪漫之吻、爱的意念、男女好合等7个主题。其中“性的写意”以夸张的艺术手法，表现了人间浪漫的爱情。钟建华还告诉记者，“性的写意”可能会存入郧西七夕艺术作品展览馆永久保存，今后郧西每举办一次七夕节，都将举办祈福灯展，每次灯展都有可能永久保存一件灯具。
