　　据现场考古工作人员介绍，近期狮雄山考古的亮点主要表现在三个方面：一是狮雄山遗址发现了将近50枚的钤印封泥，如此多的钤印封泥在一个遗址中出土，这在岭南地区尚属首次；二是遗址中发现了20余种炭化植物种子，中国科学院的几位专家已于7月4日到发掘现场提取样本进行研究，将对其年代、土壤、环境进行测试；三是在遗址东南名为鹧鸪山的地点，发现了西汉时期的墓葬，这在整个粤东地区是首次发现，其年代初步判断与狮雄山上所出器物的年代大体一致。
