10月16日，著名作家、宁夏华夏西部影视城公司董事长张贤亮先生在镇北堡西部影城官网上撰写《祝贺莫言荣获诺贝尔文学奖》的贺电，向获得2012年度诺贝尔文学奖的作家莫言表示祝贺。而随着莫言获奖，这位诺奖得主最为人们所熟知的作品《红高粱》及同名电影的拍摄地点——镇北堡西部影城则迎来了新一轮旅游高峰，各地游客纷纷赶至此处，争相一睹当年电影《红高粱》的拍摄地点及景观。
