2012年11月15日至18日在上海的新国际展览中心举办的中国国际旅游交易会（CITM）德国国家旅游局携手拜罗伊特旅游局、凯尔保险代理(上海)有限公司、杜塞尔多夫旅游局、乐道天下、EuroPark国际酒店、德国弗莱堡市经济-旅游-会展促进署、环球蓝联集团、海德曼旅行机构、波恩Kameha酒店、美因茨旅游局、玛丽蒂姆酒店、慕尼黑机场、慕尼黑旅游局、OIK国际交流协会和德国浪漫之路旅游协会等15家机构成功亮相。在此次旅交会上，共有300余名买家聚集于德国旅游局展台并与德国旅游局的各伙伴机构展开了深度交流，同时，有近十家媒体对德国国家旅游局和各机构代表分别进行了采访。为了使展会举办得生动有趣，德国旅游局在15日和16日两天专业日下午4点钟别出新意地在展台为客户们准备了美味地道的德国香肠，小吃及南德啤酒；在17日和18日两天公众日中每天上下午两场大众互动的有奖问答时间，通过一些与参会伙伴机构相关的问题并赠送小礼品的形式，让广大民众了解德国的旅游资源。
