  截至2011年底,全国旅行社的总数为23690家,同比增长3.98%。根据我们的调研,从旅行社业务的经营主体的角度来估测(包括以旅行社部门、办事处等形式存在的旅行社企业组织,及会展机构、网站、俱乐部等未取得旅行社经营权的经营实体),我们认为目前全国实际的旅行社业务经营主体超过7万家。

  从历年数据来看,除去2003年、2005年、2008年等特殊年份,全国旅行社旅游业务营业收入的一直处于增长状态。因为这些特殊年份的存在,图6中所显示的全国旅行社旅游业务营业收入的增长率呈现出剧烈波动的状态,体现了旅游业的敏感性,容易受到外界环境的影响。但也正是因为旅游业的敏感性,往往能够在受到重创之后迅速恢复,2008年国际金融危机后,旅游业作为经济体系中率先复苏的产业之一,为拉动消费、促进经济较快恢复做出了很大的贡献。

  由于收入和财富水平有限,以及缺乏足够的出国旅游经验,我国多数出境游客的旅游需求还停留在观光游览、购物等相对初级层面,而在享乐、深度体验等方面的旅游需求则相对缺乏。如图11-1至图11-4所示 ,我国出境团队游客中,以游览观光为出游动机的游客占到55.07%(相比之下我国入境游客则以文化体验为首位旅游动机),而以教育科技、健康、商务、文化交流等动机的游客占比都比较小;出游花费上,仍旧以购物、交通等为花费的主要去向。另外,出游的时间、住宿选择也都不尽理想。
