新华网伦敦１月２８日电 英国政府２８日公布新高速铁路项目建造计划，新建高铁将连接首都伦敦和英格兰北部一些城市，最高时速为３６０公里。

　　政府说，这一项目名为“高速２”，将是１００多年来第一条在伦敦以北修建的铁路。工程竣工后，整条铁路将成Ｙ型，连接伦敦与英格兰第二大城市伯明翰以及曼彻斯特和利兹。连接伦敦与伯明翰的第一期工程总长２２５公里，定于２０１７年开始修建，２０２６年完工。第二期工程定于２０３２年完工。

The government says,The project is called"High speed 2",Will be more than 100 years to the first street on the railway construction north of London.After project completion,The whole railway will be Y type,Connects London and England's second largest city of Birmingham and Manchester and Leeds.Connects London and Birmingham for the first phase of the project with a total length of 225 km,Is scheduled for 2017 started to build,Completed in 2026.The second phase of the project is scheduled for completion in 2032.
