《新编本草纲目》编审会16日至17日在蕲春举行。我省60多位中医药研究学者、18位审稿专家齐聚一堂，对该书出版建言献策。

　　据湖北中医药大学副校长、主编之一王平教授介绍，该书由湖北中医药大学临床中药学、方剂学、中医基础理论、药用植物学、中药炮制、中药化学、中药药理、古汉语等多学科的60余名专家学者共同编撰。全书预计680万字。目前，初稿已完成80%，全书编写工作将于2013年上半年结束，2013年下半年付梓出版。

　　《本草纲目》是药物学家李时珍在15世纪后半期耗时30余年编写的一部药学巨着，全书共180多万字，载有药物1892种，收集医方11096个，分为16部、60类。据王平介绍，《新编》以金陵本《本草纲目》为参照，将在保留原文的基础上，综述最新进展，包括新制剂、新成分、新活性、新作用、新种植方法等，并收录医疗、药效、鉴定、种植、加工、贮存等方面的最新研究进展。新增内容拟分22个栏目附于原文对每味药材的阐述之后。

　　另一主编、湖北中医药大学教授詹亚华教授说，《新编本草纲目》将结合现代研究成果，对原文所述的不科学药材药效加以扬弃。《本草纲目》记录了当时民间用药的客观情况，但是一些药材在当今社会已不再适用，比如三十八卷夫妻部中的病人衣、死人遗枕，五十二卷人部中的人尿、天灵盖、人肉等，此次将在每味药材的述评中加以说明。
