福建省委书记孙春兰就此表示，福建是旅游资源大省，以“山海画廊，人间福地”著称，发展旅游业潜力巨大、前景广阔。但是，福建旅游业的现状是，开发深度不够，精品不多，缺乏大企业、龙头企业支撑，产业拉动作用不明显，基础设施和公共服务水平有待提高。
