万宁市旅游局介绍，19日上午7时许，该市兴隆公安分局河东派出所接到游客报警电话，昨晚住在兴隆月亮湾酒店的80多名湖南游客和海南沙洲国际旅行社的导游莫某发生纠纷。派出所两名干警立即赶到现场维持秩序。8时10分，湖南游客拨打了万宁市旅游投诉电话，万宁市旅游局执法人员也立即赶到现场调处，赶紧安排日月湾酒店派车送导游莫某到兴隆红十字医院、万宁市人民医院进行检查。随后，万宁市旅游局向市委市政府分管领导作了及时汇报，分管领导立即指令万宁市旅游局主要领导和分管领导赶到现场。10时左右，万宁市旅游局召集从海口赶来的海南沙洲国际旅行社代表、湖南游客代表和派出所干警开会协调。导游和游客双方都认为发生纠纷是由于双方沟通态度有问题，产生了口角战和肢体推搡，没有造成人身伤害，同意调解处理。
