中新社北京9月7日电 (记者 马海燕)中美创建无烟工作场所伙伴项目7日在京启动。这是中国卫生部与美国卫生与公众服务部宣布建立中美无烟工作场所伙伴关系后，由政府、企业、公共卫生机构等共同参与的重大控烟项目。

　　中国卫生部副部长黄洁夫表示，世界每年因吸烟死亡人数高达600万人。中国受烟草危害严重，目前吸烟人数超过3亿，15岁以上男性吸烟率高达52.9%。二手烟暴露人数多达7.4亿，其中工作场所二手烟暴露率达63.3%，严重危害职业人群的健康。
