7月26日，湖北武汉天河机场T3航站楼正式动工，计划于2015年建成。届时，武汉将拥有中部最大的航空枢纽，并有望成为国内第四大航空城。

　　T3航站楼是天河机场三期工程的重要组成部分。天河机场三期工程总投资159.59亿元，设计目标是到2020年，机场旅客吞吐量达3500万人次，货运吞吐量达44万吨，相当于目前的三倍以上。主要建设内容包括：新建一条长3600米、宽60米的第二跑道，可供空客A380客机起降；新建两条平行滑行道、四条连接东西飞行区的垂直联络道；新建总面积37万平方米的T3航站楼。T3航站楼设计外形酷似腾飞的凤凰，寓意“凤舞九天”。
