10月26日，“中华人民共和国海事局海事调查实验室”合作建设签约暨揭牌仪式在上海举行。该实验室作为海事调查技术分析、鉴定的专业性机构，计划于2013年年底建成并正式投入使用。该实验室由上海海事局、上海交通大学和上海海事大学共同建设、运作。

On October 26,,"The maritime safety administration PRC maritime research laboratory"Cooperation construction contract and was inaugurated held in Shanghai.The laboratory as a maritime survey technical analysis/Identification of the professional institutions,Plan at the end of 2013 to be built and put into use.The lab by the Shanghai maritime bureau/Shanghai jiaotong university and Shanghai maritime university jointly build/operation.

　　上海海事调查实验室的合作三方，将合作开展涉及船舶碰撞、触礁或搁浅、火灾或爆炸、沉没、机器设备损坏或灭失，以及其他引起财产损失和人身伤亡的水上交通事故证据分析鉴定和原因分析，进行海事调查技术交流、科研和人员培训、海事调查国际履约等多方面的合作。海事调查实验室下设八个专业实验室。
