港口行政管理部门在港口危险货物安全监管方面将获得更大的行政权，包括查封、扣押权和开拆查验权等。日前，《港口危险货物安全管理规定》（简称《规定》）宣传贯彻会在广州召开，2月1日起实施的《规定》进一步明确了港口行政管理部门的监管范围。
