　　开会的这几天，十八大代表侯凡凡白天要认真地听会、讨论，晚上还常常要学习会议精神、准备发言。但相对于她在南方医院每天工作超过14个小时：白天看诊、晚上手术、深夜研究的工作量来说，在北京开会的日子是最规律的。“晚上还能抽空去健身房跑跑步、健健身。”侯凡凡笑着说。

　　侯凡凡今年62岁，身材苗条、腰板笔直，盘发一丝不苟，手指修长，指甲剪得短短的。不用说话，大家大多都猜她是医生或者老师。其实都对：她既是教授，又是肾内科主任，但她还有一个更响亮的“名号”：中国科学院院士。

　　可侯凡凡一点也不让人“高山仰止”。她走出会议中心接受羊城晚报记者的采访，见到记者没法进入驻地，侯凡凡便指着只有五六平方米的传达室说：“这里暖和，你们委屈一下，在这里采访吧！”看到传达室里只有一条长凳，侯凡凡坚持不肯坐下，“你们都站着，我坐着不礼貌。”就这样，她踩着高跟鞋笔直地站了近一个小时，和记者畅谈医改。

　　侯凡凡很严谨。“院士不是神，也只是某一方面获得过成就，说我是院士就能指点医改是个笑话。我能做的，就是作为一名一线医务人员、一位医院管理人员，从实践中提出一些建议，并严格遵守医改政策。”谈到科研，侯凡凡说：“写论文不是非要去杀白老鼠(做科研实验)才有成果。聪明的医生要学会在临床中做研究，不断地在医疗实践中找出规律，才提高得快。比如一种疾病有两种治疗方法，我总共治了400个病人，一种用这个方法治，一种用那个方法治，过三年做一次对照，看哪种治疗方法死亡率低、成功率高，总结出来，论文写了，医术也更高了。”
