10月29日，全国城市公共交通工作会议在深圳市开幕，会议提出全面实施城市公交优先发展战略，努力建设人民满意的城市公共交通系统。交通运输部副部长冯正霖出席会议并强调，要以科学发展观为指导，认真贯彻落实国务院常务会议精神，进一步实施公共交通优先发展战略，充分发挥公共交通建设对城市发展的引领和带动作用，大力开展公交都市建设示范工程，让人民群众“出行更便捷、乘坐更舒适、换乘更方便”。
