12月18日，全国港口标准化技术委员会（以下简称委员会）成立大会在北京召开，标志着我国港口行业首次设立全国性标准化管理机构。委员会主要负责港口安全、管理、作业、服务等领域的标准化工作。

　　交通运输部副部长高宏峰出席成立大会。高宏峰指出，进入新世纪以来，我国港口规模继续扩大，在国际上的地位和影响力显著增强。自2003年以来，全国港口货物吞吐量、集装箱吞吐量一直位居世界首位，但作为引领港口发展的标准化工作则相对滞后。在我国由港口大国向港口强国迈进的过程中，必须通过加强港口标准化工作不断提升我国港口的管理水平、服务水平和综合实力，必须树立“港口发展、标准先行”的理念，充分发挥标准化对港口转型升级的促进作用，实现港口发展由粗放型向集约型转变，助力港口科学发展。
