2月4日，交通运输部部长杨传堂主持召开部务会议，审议通过了《交通运输系统“平安交通”创建活动实施方案》等。今后五年，全国交通运输系统将有计划、分步骤、有重点地开展平安公路、平安车船、平安港站、平安渡口、平安工地等“平安交通”创建活动，更加提升保障现代交通运输业全面可持续发展的硬实力，更加适应经济社会发展和人民群众安全便捷出行的新需求，更加满足全面建成小康社会的总要求。
