据中国之声《新闻晚高峰》报道，当地沟油这个词进入到人们视野的时候是两年前，当时大家都在想怎么来辨别地沟油的办法，但一直没有一个特别可行，中国农业大学食品科学与营养工程学院研制出一种快速专门用来快速检测地沟油的方法，并将这种方法首次正式进行市场化的生产和销售。

　　中国农业大学食品与营养工程学院提出的检测方式在5月份被卫生部认可为3种有效快检"地沟油"的方法之一。中国农业大学食品科学与营养工程学院院长罗云波表示，检测方式的创新在于找到了"地沟油"的特征物质。

　　董金狮：目前地沟油里有害成份胆固醇比较多，还有一些黄曲霉毒素，还有其他的一些过氧化物，就这些化学物质而言，目前没有在哪一个产品里面同时含这几种物质，所以现在要用一种快速的方法来准确的判定比较困难，所以国家现在也没有标准、方法。

　　董金狮关注地沟油问题多年，他提到，家庭餐桌的剩菜、炸薯条用的老油倒掉后是地沟油，从潲水里回收或从废弃动物内脏炼出的油也称为地沟油。地沟油种类多且复杂，无法用一个系统的尺度衡量。

　　研发方负责人反复向记者强调，"检测试剂盒"的准确率并不是100%，只能作为初筛，如果需要进一步确认是否是地沟油还需要精密仪器检测。在卫生部"盲检"的40个样品中，快检试剂的正确率80%，算是一种较有效的检测方法。董金狮表示，这种方法无法作为法律依据。

　　董金狮：我觉得一个方法是不是可行要经过卫生部门的食品安全评估委员会进行最终确定，但没有确定之前，如果推荐这种方法，不能作为执法的依据，也就是说即使你测出来是地沟油你对饭店也没有投诉的依据，也不能作为执法的依据。

　　持有相同观点的还有徐州工程学院食品工程学院副院长刘恩岐。刘恩岐说，这只能作为筛查的技术，起到震慑作用，但是判断它是地沟油还有一段距离。
