自我国开展人体器官捐献试点工作至2013年2月22日，共实现捐献659例，捐献大器官1804个。

　　据介绍，一直以来，我国器官移植来源匮乏。目前，我国每年约有三十万患者等待器官移植，但真正实施的器官移植手术只有约1万台。为改变这一状况，2010年3月，卫生部和中国红十字会联合启动了人体器官捐献的试点工作，经过3年的发展，目前已经扩展到了19个省市。
