曲靖市麒麟区2月19日发生一起待产孕妇死亡在医院的不幸事件，胎儿亦未能幸免。死者家属质疑医院抢救不及时，措施不当。而院方则否认质疑，认为抢救合理合法，没有责任。院方希望死者家属走司法途径解决争端。死者家属一方2月23日将事件公布到天涯论坛寻求舆论帮助，院方则对此称保留追究法律责任的权利。
