  槟榔是否致癌?来自中南大学湘雅医院口腔科的数据显示,每年该科收治因嚼槟榔直接或间接导致口腔疾患,需要手术治疗的患者逾百例,其中约1/3被确诊为口腔癌。该科口腔医学专家彭解英教授表示,咀嚼槟榔是引起口腔黏膜纤维性变的唯一因素,而该病有癌前恶变的高危险性,且槟榔果中的致癌成分具有遗传毒性。
