11月20日，2012年首期全国公路局（处）长培训班在交通运输部管理干部学院开班。

　　把全国公路局长培养成为一支讲政治、懂业务、依法行政能力强的高素质管理干部队伍，是公路行业的一项基础性工作，也是交通运输部党组推进“双基”工作的重要任务。本次培训根据“一个核心，两个贴近”的指导思想，以公路发展的重点任务为核心，贴近基层、贴近实践，紧紧围绕中心工作，有针对性地开展干部培训。培训目标有四个：一是将部党组的战略思想贯彻到基层公路部门，实现公路行业政令畅通；二是进一步提高全国公路局长的技术、政策、管理、公共服务水平和依法行政能力；三是提升公路交通行业的工作效率、管理水平和创新能力，为公路交通科学发展提供基础保障；四是为部机关与基层公路局长提供沟通交流的平台，把行业政策落实到基层，把基层问题反映到机关，把实践经验推广到行业。
