5月6日下午，交通运输部部长杨传堂主持召开部务会议，研究部署交通运输法治政府部门建设、新闻宣传、行业核心价值体系建设和推进绿色低碳发展等工作。他强调，党的十八大把“法治政府基本建成”作为全面建成小康社会的重要目标之一，提出“法治是治国理政的基本方式”，交通运输部门全面建成法治政府部门具有重要意义，肩负繁重任务。

　　杨传堂强调，各部门各单位要正确认识成绩和不足，切实增强责任感和紧迫感，理清思路，把握重点。一是要紧紧把握时代精神、紧紧抓住行业特点；二是要突出工作重点，加强基础工作；三是要体现改革创新、体现加强管理；四是一切为了人民，一切服务人民。
