“公费研究生”即将消失了，但这不值得留恋出席十二届全国人大一次会议的全国人大代表、南开大学校长龚克今天对记者说，公费研究生的消失是时代的进步。这项改革对于提高研究生培养质量将产生正面影响。

　　龚克说，很多人关注“取消公费研究生”，同时也应注意到，这只是研究生培养机制改革的一部分。在这项改革中，国务院首先强调的是加大对研究生的资助力度，逐步提高拨款水平。从2014年秋季学期开始，设立研究生国家奖学金，每年奖励4.5万名研究生，每年资助标准博士生不低于10000元、硕士生不低于6000元。
