　　在“六一”儿童节时，卫生部向全社会发布并解读《中国0-6岁儿童营养发展报告(2012)》。报告称，近年来，党和政府更加重视民生，更加重视完善社会保障制度，加快教育、卫生等各项社会事业改革与发展，为改善儿童营养状况、提高儿童健康水平提供了坚实的基础和保障。使我国儿童的营养状况有了显著改善。主要体现在以下几方面：

　　取得的显著成就包括：一是生长发育水平不断提高。近20年来，我国儿童的生长发育水平不断提高。城乡不同年龄组的儿童身高和体重均有增长。目前，我国城市儿童的平均生长发育水平已经达到甚至超过世界卫生组织推荐的儿童生长标准，接近西方发达国家同龄儿童的平均水平。
