　　8月15日，年近九旬的王显明老人毅然在《山东省遗体(角膜)捐献申请登记表》上签下了自己的名字，志愿在去世后捐献自己的遗体。“我做了一辈子的医学了，死后我的遗体也要继续为医学发挥作用。”老人说。

　　除了自己的遗体，一生致力于中西医结合研究的王显明老人还想把自己的学术观点传下去。“别看我现在快90岁了，我还正常上班，日夜不停地写作，希望把我的学术观点传下去。”谈起自己的身体状况和工作状态，王显明有些得意地说。

　　1945年从哈尔滨医科大学毕业后，王显明回到了他的祖籍地山东。“建国后，王老在济南铁路医院(现为山东中医药大学第二附属医院)工作，一直致力于中西医结合专业。”王显明捐献遗体的执行人之一、山东力明科技职业学院副院长王学舟说。

　　据济南市红十字会相关负责人介绍，为给遗体捐献者家属提供缅怀的场所，红十字会系统建立了山东省暨济南市遗体捐献纪念碑，今年又建立了山东省暨济南市器官、角膜捐献纪念碑，并联合山东力明科技职业学院建立了生命奉献展厅，供捐献者家属缅怀和社会各界学习。
