在日前由中国健康教育中心(卫生部新闻宣传中心)主办的第五届中国健康教育与健康促进大会上，“中风孤岛人群救援中国行”专场披露了全球首份《中风孤岛指数》报告。记者获悉，覆盖层面扩大、孤岛症候突出、社会危害显著是当前中风病症的三大典型危害，更值得注意的是，九成报名参加救援的患者反映中风后缺乏社会救助，可见中风的长期救援、防治以及相关知识普及目前尚处于起步阶段。卫生部副部长刘谦出席会议，并参观现场的“震颤心灵·凝聚永恒百幅中风孤岛人群纪实图片展览”，对中风孤岛人群救援中国行表示高度关注。会上还进行了华佗再造太极健身操全球首发仪式。

　　广东省康复医学会会长、中山大学孙逸仙纪念医院康复医学科主任燕铁斌教授对《中风孤岛指数》报告做出解读，指出当前中风病症的几大危害：一是覆盖层面扩大，尤其是年轻化趋势日益明显：在“中风孤岛救援中国行”的1346个成功申请案例中，有141个在50岁以下，占合格申请者的一成以上。其中有3个80后，23个70后，最小的竟然只有12岁。二是孤岛症候突出，表现为中风及其后遗症的生理痛苦、致残的“病痛孤岛”，家庭经济负担沉重的“经济孤岛”，长期负面情绪、丧失康复信心、患抑郁等心理疾病的“情感孤岛”三大特征。孤岛指数三级或以上的达到75%。尽管部分患者处于较高的孤岛指数，但多数不愿意承认自己处于孤岛状态，对自身的“孤岛现象”产生认知障碍。三是社会危害显著。孤岛指数综合值达到四级(黄色)以上时，患者容易出现明显的自杀轻生倾向。在调查中，达到四级以上“孤岛指数”的占报名案例的三成，显示“中风孤岛”已经成为影响社会稳定的高危信号。更值得注意的是，九成报名患者反映中风后缺乏社会救助，可见中风的长期救援、防治以及相关知识普及目前尚处于起步阶段。
