中新网北京12年19日电(记者 张希敏)中华慈善总会与凯德中国希望基金19日在北京启动凯德残疾儿童康复计划项目，用于贫困家庭肢体残疾儿童的康复治疗。

　　中华慈善总会秘书长刘国林在启动仪式上说，凯德中国希望基金为项目捐资人民币100万元，中华慈善总会主要负责项目实施工作。一期主要集中帮助北京市及周边贫困的残疾儿童到北京市康复中心进行专业康复治疗，包括：先天性肢体残疾手术后的儿童；有康复价值，经过一段时间康复有显著效果的残疾儿童；创伤手术后的残疾儿童，从而提高残疾儿童的自理能力和生活质量。

　　据统计，目前中国有残疾儿童(0-14岁)约817万人，占全国残疾人总数的15.8%。其中肢体残疾儿童539万，所占比例最大，达到残疾儿童人数的66%。很大部分肢体残疾儿童能通过康复训练得到自理能力的提升。
