国内不少高校将博士学位与发表论文挂钩，李卫东教授指导的博士生均卡在这一规定上。据学生们反映，原因主要在于导师压着大家的成果不投稿。李卫东本人则向记者解释说，这是各高校之间攀比数据的结果，自己对这一“土政策”十分逆反，研究成果是否投稿、何时投稿，理应由学者自主决定。
