郭晖，是个奇迹；郭晖，将再创奇迹——这个“摇着轮椅上北大”的河北邯郸女教师，从北京大学毕业并取得博士学位后，今秋通过了省教育厅地方合作项目的面试，即将公派赴美国哈佛大学留学。记者走进郭晖的家，听她讲述这传奇般的求学路。

　　郭晖是一位土生土长的邯郸人，儿时在邯郸市实验小学读书。1981年5月9日，是郭晖人生的转折点，那年她刚11岁，正上五年级。那天，她上体育课练习跳远时，不小心崴了脚，母亲发现后把她带到了医院。由于误诊，郭晖从此高位截瘫，学业也就此休止。然而，这位坚强的姑娘并没有放弃，反而开始了一场令世人叹为观止的攀登——她用3年时间，自学了初中、高中的全部课程。随后，她又自学本科，取得英语专业学士学位。1996年初，郭晖参加了山东大学在邯郸开办的英语研究生班，并取得硕士学位。2003年，郭晖又以第一名的成绩考入北京大学外语学院英语系。五年后，她再次取得博士学位，成为该校百年史上第一位残疾女博士。

　　这一路攀登，郭晖从未退缩，因为有个梦想一直支持着她，那就是当一名老师。2008年11月，郭晖受聘加入河北工程大学文学院，成为了一名大学英语教师。至此，郭晖用27年的时间，终于“站”上三尺讲台。

　　既然梦已圆，为何不停下来，反而给自己一个更大的挑战——出国留学？面对这个问题，郭晖早已考虑成熟。她说，自己一直以来的研究领域是英语语言文学，这门学科要求研究者亲身到原语言国感受那种语言环境；另外，从事教学将近4年时间了，留学的经历会提高教学效果；同时，她申请的留学方向是17世纪英语诗歌研究，去哈佛有助于研究的深入。

　　今年年初，郭晖下定决心，开始着手出国留学的事宜，河北工程大学对于她的想法非常支持。3月，她把自己的个人履历、学术科研成果及申请通过互联网发给美国哈佛大学。一个月后，哈佛就发回了邀请函，同意了她的留学申请。8月9日，她在石家庄进行了面试，获得了省教育厅地方合作项目的公派资格。至此，她成为河北省受理的第一位出国留学残障人员。
