　　“做学生的‘老师妈妈’，把学生当成自己的孩子来教育。”这是吕映红经常挂在嘴上的一句话，也是她孜孜以求的至高境界。吕映红本不是师范专业出身，在师资力量匮乏的1984年，刚满21岁的吕映红当上了村办小学的一名民办教师。这所小学有一个班级、24名学生，只有吕映红一名教师，语文、数学、思想品德、音体美等所有学科，都是她一人“大包班”，每天前勤后勤连轴转。
