综合新华社、《广州日报》报道上世纪70年代的中国，至少有一亿人听说过韩素音的名字。韩素音（右图）的一生是一部传奇，她的初恋是纳粹党徒，后成为中国驻英武官的妻子，她是比利时国防大臣的外甥女，曾为毛泽东和周恩来写传记。记者3日获悉，在世界文坛上颇有影响的华裔女作家韩素音当地时间2日中午在瑞士洛桑的寓所无疾而终，享年96岁。韩素音的女儿周惠音和唐蓉梅表示，韩素音遗体告别仪式将于本月8日在洛桑举行。

　　韩素音，又是英籍华人女作家伊丽莎白·柯默的笔名，原名周光瑚，1917年9月12日生于河南信阳。韩素音是“汉属英”的音译。意思是她这位汉人已入籍英国。她是客家人，祖籍广东五华县水寨镇，父亲周映彤出生于成都郫县，是中国第一代庚款留学生，母亲玛格丽特出身比利时贵族家庭。

　　她先后在燕京大学、比利时布鲁塞尔自由大学就读，以流利英文写作中国故事。20世纪40年代，韩素音的长篇小说《爱情至上》出版后，被好莱坞拍摄成电影《生死恋》，轰动世界文坛，韩素音因此一举成名。她在文学创作上成绩卓著，先后出版了约40部作品，被译成多种文字。传记《周恩来与他的世纪》，自传《伤残的树》、《无鸟的夏天》等在海内外流传很广。其中1952年写成的自传体小说《瑰宝》奠定了韩素音在国际文坛上的地位，据小说改编的电影《LoveIsAManySplendouredThing》1956年获得了三项奥斯卡奖。在该书的封面上，她写道：“我的一生永远在两个相反的方向之间跑来跑去，离开爱，奔向爱；离开中国，奔向中国。”
