竹房位于华中科技大学南四教学楼西北角，建造面积60平方米，设有客厅、书房、露台、庭院等。“竹房里除防腐地板、钢化玻璃门窗、镀锌铁皮外墙等不是‘胶合竹’外，屋顶、墙体等所有构件均为胶合竹。一块块胶合竹均是用螺丝、铆钉等固定拼装而成，类似堆积木，也很好拆解。”穆威说。
