　　薛建国说：现在校内这种班级授课制，让每个学生不能得到充分的关怀，我们在外头听个性化的服务，就是满足这一块缺口。校内是应试教育当道，校外自然就需要提供更多的拓展类的课程去丰富他的生活，所以谈到培训班的时候，不能仅仅看到培训班就是教大家考试的。今天的培训班已经相当复杂了，我们在北京安博学校提供给学生的课程三百多门，根本不是一个简单的事情，每个教师下来都是一个很厚的册子，是很多很多选择。我补一个假期，领先一个学期，但是我们就不能简单说这个孩子、这个假期就是无意义的。

　　薛建国认为：因为个体的孩子遇到的问题和困难完全不同，有的孩子某个学科确实需要帮助，有的学生综合素质很好，可以放松。我们现在假期办的赴美、赴欧的夏令营、拓展团、训练团也很多，但是并不是很多家长能够支撑得了的，也并不是很多家长认同的，他们认为是瞎花钱，有的家长很支持，开拓视野，丰富他的眼界，这本身就是教育的重要的组成部分，但是需要花钱的。我的钱就能解决五百块钱的问题，我就上不了一对一，我也上不了小班，我只能大班50人去跟着，这也是一种选择。我觉得在选择面前没有人强制他。
