李金初(北京建华实验学校校长、北京十一学校原校长): LiJinChu(Beijing JHF experimental school principal/Beijing eleven school former headmaster):有这么几点还是应该要有的:首先,这个校长首先必须是一个品德高尚的人,他的思想品德和他的行为是值得效仿的,正如我在北京师范大学校训的第二句话"行为师范"。

校长还必须有思想。没有思想的校长很可能陷入平庸,而思想应该说是科学的心境,能够引导学校在一个健康优质的教育道路上发展。校长必须是一个学习者,是一个研究者,是一个思考者。

第五,校长他必须得亲历亲为者,也就是说是一个实践者。有想法和有说法还是不够的,校长是做实际工作的人,他不是理论家,不能够坐到屋子里面搞研究,应该在实践过程中来思考实践和研究。所以他应该亲历课堂、研究课堂,应该接触学生和老师,把学校的实际工作都应该纳入他思考的范围。当然,在这个过程当中特别注意校长不能陷入"事务主义",陷入具体的琐碎的事务脱不开身拔不出来脚,很多大的事情他就会给忽略。所以校长在这个过程当中实际是一个战略的思考者,是一个战略家。我想这些都是作为一个现代优秀校长不可缺少的。
