25日，来自11个国家的55名来华留学新生，成为新成立的"上海市外国留学生预科学院"首届学员。这批留学生计划在沪上各高校进行本科学习，但在汉语知识和能力、相关专业知识及跨文化交际能力等方面，还未达到中国高校专业阶段学习的基本标准，因此他们将在预科学院度过一年"热身期"，再进入各自高校求学。

　　基地由市教委设立，委托上海师范大学进行管理与日常教学。预科学院招生面向文理工各科来华留学生，学制为1至2年，今年先期试点一年制。首批学生开班后，实行小班教学，并适当分合。预科学习后半段，则将适当增设文、理、工科专业基础课程，为学生日后专业学习打好基础。目前，学院共有汉语教师11名，包括2位副教授及硕士生导师，所有教师均为硕士及以上学历，其中不乏从事对外汉语教学和研究工作10年以上、编著有多部对外汉语教材的资深教师。(记者 徐瑞哲)
