10月31日，教育部公布“十二五”国家级教师教学发展示范中心名单。经学校申报、专家评审和电话答辩、网上公示等环节，全国高校共有30个教师教学发展中心获批成为国家级教师教学发展示范中心，华南理工大学教师教学发展中心成功入选，并成为广东、广西、湖南、江西、海南等中南、华南地区五省唯一的国家级教师教学发展示范中心。
