自上海财经大学7年前在上海高校中率先开设高尔夫课程，至今，上海已有19所高校开设高尔夫课，并成为热门的体育选修课。而从全国的情况看，开设高尔夫专业的学校超过了80所，被看做贵族运动的高尔夫球已经走到大学生身边。

　　复旦视觉艺术学院高尔夫专业的老师最近在松江大学城7所高校开展了高尔夫球运动发展现状的调查，结果发现参与这项运动的主力为本科生，占到了92.4%。对于选择高尔夫的理由，25%的学生认为是为了休闲娱乐，20.6%的学生是为了追求时尚，12.7%的学生是为了强身健体。高尔夫运动近两年来还深受女大学生的喜爱。但是由于一些学校场地器械不足，学生每次参与高尔夫运动的活动时间较少。
