学校应当提供必要条件，保障家长委员会对学校、教师的教育教学、管理活动实施监督，提出意见、建议；应当定期与家长委员会成员进行沟通，听取意见。学校实施直接涉及学生个体利益的活动，一般应由学校或者教师提出建议和选择方案，并做出相应说明，提交家长委员会讨论，由家长自主选择、做出决定。要积极探索完善家长委员会的组织形式和运行规则，不断扩大家长对学校办学活动和管理行为的知情权、参与权和监督权。
