出生于1967年的铁流，曾是海军北海舰队政治部创作室的专业作家。上世纪80年代初起，就开始发表小说，迄今已经出版发表了几百万字的报告文学、小说和散文。他创作的长篇报告文学《支书与他的村庄》，是中国第一部反映“城中村”农民生存问题的作品。《中国作家》杂志头题全文发表后，在社会上引起较大的反响和关注。1999年，32岁的铁流加入中国作家协会。近几年，铁流多次担任过省级文学奖的评委。现在，他是山东省作家协会的签约作家，担任山东作家协会报告文学委员会副主任。
