现年59岁的李玉明于1974年在家乡的九源中心小学开始任教，至今已有38个年头。1997年，他的双腿出现关节肿痛、肌肉萎缩，被诊断患有血友病。但热爱教育事业的他仍然一边治疗，一边拄着拐杖坚持上课。
