　　2012年深秋，见到独臂老师周兵时，他已经离开了自己奋斗一生的舞台乡村讲台。坐在会议室里，周兵远比照片上显得苍白，也许少了孩子们的陪伴，他显得有点落寞。1975年，20岁的周兵成了盱眙县明祖陵镇项庄村的一位小学语文老师，从此“乡村教师”这一身份伴随他从青年走向暮年；2011年，周兵所在的村小被撤并，他也从讲台走下来，成了镇中心小学的一名图书管理员。不过，按他自己的话说，“做老师是一辈子的事，只要孩子们还在，我就是老师。”
