高考恢复后，最初两批复旦数学系学生相继在1982年1月和6月毕业。他们中的大多数通过高考进入大学，而后选择出国、读研或创业。现在他们中的有些人已成为国内外知名大学教授，也有部分或在商界立足，或在各级政府机关任职。复旦82届数学系毕业生也因此被网友称之为“史上最牛班级”。
