在北京召开的首届全国语文教改示范校经验交流会暨首届语文教改高峰论坛上,教育部中国教师发展基金会秘书长杨春茂宣读了一位中学生发给他的短信。

杨春茂指出,无数事实证明:最具有知识的人,不一定是有良好素质的人。事业上取得成功的人,并不一定靠某种专业知识,而往往首先靠自身的素质。人的智力因素不是最重要的,最重要的是自身素质。学习中国的传统文化,可能不能马上看到好处,但它们对人的启迪、激励、振奋、陶冶都是自然科学知识难以替代的。
