　　《我的母校》所讲述的内容正是北京八一中学。其前身是中国人民解放军晋察冀军区“荣臻学校”。1947年3月1日，在聂荣臻司令员的关怀下，创建于河北省阜平县向阳庄(原名：沟槽村)。直到1949年随解放军的队伍迁移北京，遂更名为北京市八一中学，至今已走过65年光辉的历程。其中不少杰出人物担任了党和国家领导人的职务。学校被誉为培养“领袖的摇篮”。
