据香港《明报》报道，53岁的被告任职清洁工，涉于2001年9至10月非礼女生，及2002年1至7月非礼及性交。现年17岁的女生去年8月报案，向警方称，5岁时父母为养家无暇照料她和胞兄。两兄妹逢周一至周五寄宿被告家中，与姨母及姨丈的母亲同住，5人同睡于狭小公屋单位内。
