主持人:您觉得我们康福学校的教育理念是不是秉承着英美这样的教育理念?

刘煜炎:我们学校最早的时候,是把英国的A-level课程引进到中国来讲,因为A-level在全世界的认可度最高,是两百多个国家,一万多所大学接受这个课程。A-level这个课程的特点是能够通过考试去调整学生的学习方法,调整老师的教学方法,使得A-level课程这个指挥棒调整为创新服务,为社会培养人才,这是很难做到的。我们常说应试教育是错误的,其实美国人也应试,英国人也应试,在英国里你的A-level考了一个高分,接下来就录取了,考了3个A或者四个A的学生就能够考剑桥去,但是发现这个考生有创造力。应试没有错。怎么错了?应的是什么试,考试是不是在测试学生的综合素养,学生的思维习惯,学生的创造能力,这个问题要考察。如果我们是思想准备的话,我们的教育就不好了。举一个例子来看,中国的教育和英美教育的差异,有了两个案例来说,在中国今年的高考,我见到过一个高考考题,促进学生对创造发明的一种意识和热爱,一个考题是孩子们你们答一答下面谁是造纸的发明者,答案当中有祖冲之、蔡伦、姚明等等,正确答案是蔡伦,这些是创造发明吗?我们想引导学生创造发明,可是我们考试是死记硬背的。再来看英美的考试,举一个同样极端的例子,我们学校有一个学生他有一次参加剑桥的统计学的考试,统计学一大堆的数据,用手是算不过来的,一定要用计算机算,但是他忘了带计算器。常理来看这次考试肯定不及格,但是解剑桥大学的考试是按照学生的思维步骤来判分,假如只有计算结果不正确只会扣1分,有10个题,每一题都把公式列进去,把数字写进去,就只是没有计算的结果,按道理应该扣10分,但是他只被扣了5分。原因是什么?这位同学每一步思维是正确的,只是在最后一步算结果时答案不对,这种情况下老师就能够猜出来,这位学生肯定是没有计算器。因此这位学生没带计算器照样得到了A星的成绩,95%的正确。同样是考试,我们的考试和英国的考试就有所不同。

刘煜炎:任何一个人都有人格的,只不过分好和坏。我们希望学生在读书过程中,老师必须把人培养成一个优秀的人,就是他的思想境界当中应该由一个利他的基础,在他做任何事情的时候,首先看他服务的对象同意了没有了,通过服务对象得到了利益,使得另外一个服务对象得到了利益,通过N个服务对象了利益,整个社会得到了利益。经济上得到利益了,他的未来真怎么样。一个人的价值观当中,就应该有利他,利社会和利未来这么三利。最后不用琢磨用不用利己,作用有反作用,只要对别人好,别人对你好的过程就是你在利己,我们只要利他就可以了,毫不利己,专门利人,只要我们在帮助别人的过程中,别人都会感恩你,他回报你的过程就是一个利他的过程,他利他的过程就是我的利己,我不用担心我利不益己。

刘煜炎:这肯定是有一定优势的,但是我们不能因为只是对中国的教育不看好,就送进国际教育,我们不看好中国教育就是因为在注重孩子的创造能力培养方面做得还不够好,这时候我们选择国际教育,如果我们还选择应试教育,还是当做简单替代品做的话,我们认为只要送到国际学校,只要送到国际班就能培养好孩子,那就错了。一所公立学校基本上是应试教育的方式,如果他办国际教育班的话,肯定做不到素质教育的方式,因为他认为这就是国外的考试,对付外国的考试去了,所以我们在选择国际课程班的目的是要把孩子培养好,我们希望把他培养好的一种追求,这种教育追求当中不能简单靠贴一个牌子说这是国际教育。假如我做国内教育,我相信也能做好,你也能得到创造能力,也可以做到,所以他们考察的是到底需要把他们的孩子培养成一个什么样的人才,去选择国际的还是国内的,什么样的教育,是谁主导的,教育的操刀人是谁。换句话说,用郝老师的话说选择教育的根本决策就应该是选择导师,择校就是择师,不是择表面上的课程。
