　　联合国秘书长潘基文日前在纽约联合国总部启动了“教育第一”全球倡议行动，旨在调动国际社会的广泛支持，将教育作为全球的最优先事项，从而推动联合国千年发展目标在2015年之前如期实现。

　　潘基文指出，这项新的全球倡议行动将关注三方面的优先工作:第一，不论其性别、背景或处境，确保每个孩子都能平等地接受教育；第二，必须提高学习质量，通过更好的科技知识和技能培训使年轻一代适应当今就业市场的需求；第三，教育应充分发挥其培育为人之道的核心作用，培养全球公民意识，帮助人们构建更公平、和谐和包容的社会。
